The Kodály philosophy is an approach to music education rooted in the idea that music should be a social and cultural experience. Hungarian composer and pedagogue Zoltán Kodály believed music education could engage students on a spiritual, cultural, and emotional level. With these values in mind, Kodály and his followers developed the Kodály method, which music educators still use in classrooms today.
